Guns, Germs, and Steel
Guns, Germs, and Steel: The Fates of Human Societies is a book written by Jared Diamond in 1997 and it has won him the Pulitzer Prize and the Aventis Prize for "Best Science Book". This tries to teach and explain to people why some countries in Eurasia have survived to destroy others and why some just can't advance to today's current stage in technology. He also talks about these countries and how they try to advance to conquer things like diseases and how their environment can affect that. In his book the main idea he focuses on is the influence of geography on societies and cultures. This book could possibly make you think how smart people can really be and why the world is affected by so many factors including those we are close to.
